This knife was designed from the requirements of the Special Forces, Special Operations, and “SWAT” communities that needed a smaller knife that could be strapped onto the forearms or tucked into a boot. Like its “bigger brother” the MPS, a skeletonized handle includes lightening/attachment holes that offer a lighter/slimmer knife plus the added benefit of more attachment points. MPUs come with a Kydex sheath available or cord wraps that could be attached to the attachment holes.

I bought this knife 3 months ago. I did not see the MBK-Ti option before. If I could go back I might get it instead. Having said that this knife is outstanding. The blade is a lot more aggressive than I thought it would be, and cuts with minimal effort. I also have a MPK-Ti 12 inch that I've had for years so I wanted a smaller, sharper knife for precision work. I dive, work outdoors, and wear weapons and tac vests. Obviously you can hide this knife anywhere. It also has a no slip texture when wet in hand. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a hytrel sheath which would have been nice. But the people at mission have ensured me they are active with their drawing board. If you camp, dive, or simply want a great kitchen knife that's easy to clean, this is your knife!
